Author Topic: Why do I keep getting Trojan Horses on my computer? *Beware of Java exploits!*  (Read 3057 times)

This is my 10th one in like 3 weeks. Why does this keep happening?

UPDATE:
I did not download stuff I'm unaware of.

However, I found that source of the problem.

Where did I get this?

Stop looking at research.

Stop looking at research.
I don't. This is serious guys.

I was on eBay looking at an auction. Then, I went to Blockland Forums and boom. Malware detected.

Lay off the cracked software?, and don't download random stuff.

Lay off the cracked software?, and don't download anything you don't need.
I'm not using cracked software.

And I haven't been downloading random stuff. I was on ebay, then went to Blockland Forums. Boom. Trojan Horse.

If you have downloaded anything latly that is mods for a game and stuff like that then it is possible that your anti virus is being handicapped. Try Downloading a blockland mod and see if you get a Trojan

I don't think you know what you're talking about.

A Trojan Horse would have to be an executable file.

Well you must be downloading something

It keeps coming back, even after you remove it, is what you're saying?

Didn't see that in the OP...

Something similar happened to my new computer, all I was on was Blockland, Runescape, Facebook, Google.
Nothing more, and I got bout 4 Trojans.
When I went on the forums, Avast popped up saying that it blocked malware.

Not really. A DLL can also be a Trojan.
At one point on one of my XP machines; a trojan took form as a text file and managed to load itself into memory. When you checked task manager; you saw a text file running as a process.

Well I'm running a malware scan and I'll remove some software later.

I just don't remember downloading something.

This is why I don't bother using Windows.
