Author Topic: Help me decide what graphics card to buy!  (Read 838 times)

I'm tired of dealing with my stuffty integrated Radeon HD 4200. I need something more powerful.
Anything better I can get for <$125 would be nice.
Any suggestions?

My suggestion.
Would there be any compatibility issues with what I already have?
I've just got into building PC's.

Post the specs of your compy. Get the size of your case as well.

If size is an issue then a 650 would probably fit.

-forget i am such an idiot-

I think I had the HD 4200 on my other computer over there>

Radeon HD 6570 works good.

get a 7770, same thing as jacksaunt said but the one in the link has way better reviews so go with that one

it also comes with farcry 3

I'm lazy so here
there are no specs there, besides the psu wattage

you are going to need to upgrade your psu too, and those cost around 50 bucks and up

and probably a new motherboard, since you won't feel much of a difference in graphics if the pci express lane is the first version

Radeon HD 6570 works good.
I was going to post about how some computer illiterate kid would come and make an awful suggestion that wouldn't have happened in the megathread, but I decided to be faithful the forum members wouldn't.
I should have posted it.

that's what i was gonna say lol

with a 250w the best you could do is a radeon hd 7750, which is around $100

minimum for 7750 is 400w

anywhere under about 350 is unsafe
