I don't know what you're talking about, Canadian English is closer to British English than American. We spell pretty much everything like the Britons (colour, centre, favourite), and we pronounce a lot of words the same as well (z as zed, lieutenant as lef-ten-ant).

Either you're making no sense, or are confused over the argument.

The English (England and Britain) way of spelling it is "Maths" and "Mathematics". This is correct.

The Americans corrupted form of English spells it "Math". This is wrong and nonsensical.

If a large enough portion of the speakers of a language (American English) are pronouncing/writing a word a certain way its not incorrect, its called the evolution of language.
