All you ever need is to be prepared.
And a pistol.

If I scoped in on you and saw that skull patch, you'd have 11 holes (aka a new hole between your eyes)
Not a good idea to wear any hostile sort of gear in an apocalyptic scenerio. Nobody wants to deal with raiders, nobody is in the mood for jokes, and everyone's nerves are fried. By the 3rd month, the survivors would have no remorse taking your life with that kind of patch. It's one thing to wear a patch to signify your native language or maybe the state your from, but any sort of affiliation like the cross, a gang sign, anarchy symbol...

Good way to get shot.
That, and a suit would be very impractical for travel
Huh, strange, I thought i'd taken it off whenever I was finishing up my SS soldiers
()
but it still looks cool. Also I just realized I forgot to add ammo into it and it looks slightly like the Nostalgia Critic.

Second attempt:

first of all, as I said before, I forgot to take it off when I was taking off the SS uniform, and on this one I put it on but i'd rather put the patch under my coat jacket then wear it on the outside, second try telling that travel thing to Nonnel.

This is what I could realistically grab.

well you're gonna need a vest if you're gonna pack items in a vest

There are these things called coat pockets.

You can't fit a thermos in a coat pocket, nor binoculars. If you're trying to be realistic, you've probably never seen a pocket before.

That is called a sling. As for the thermos, you're right.

OKAY EVERYONE
LET'S SAY IT'S WINTER NOW

Stuff I could get realistically.

The keys would be they keys to the car.
The pouch would be my mothers purse.
The backpack would be a old school backpack.
The gun and machete would be from my dad.
Note I don't really know what gun and knife/machete my dad has so.

None of you guys are Tacticool enough.

Let me list some of these devices of mass handicapation:
  • Golden AK-47 with an underslug crossbow/grenade launcher and dual drum magazine,
  • Silenced LAW minigun with a rifle scope
  • Jelly guitar grenade launcher with an underslug flamethrower
  • Golden Desert Eagle with a rifle scope, silencer, knife, and a chocolate clip
  • Double barrel grenade launcher
  • Machete with a bi-pod and a knife

I know nothing about guns FYI.
