Realistically, nuclear war is only likely if the us directly attack nk.

It's only possible if we use nukes. Or if we just tell China to go forget themselves, for like weeks straight.

no, any country that has nukes, will use them if being destroyed.
nk threatens to use them early. but everyone else who has them promises their use if there is a possibility of being overthrown.

that's why its such a big deal. because any nation that has them is basically free from destruction, unless the world wants to be radiated. its not the threat olf destroying your enemy with nukes that is the point.

pretty much. you dont even have to blow anything up with a nuke to be successful.

if nk leadership is insane enough, and knows they have lost the war, all they have to do it blow up a dozen warheads that are just sitting in their storage.
if done right, the entire upper hemisphere would be uninhabitable for a good 80 years.

or NK could just volly off a million rounds of artillary at fukashima. no missile/shell shield could stop that kind of disaster. and it would forget us all.

just by having a nuke, a nation is threatening the world with "if anyone or any alliance invades us, the whole world dies"

you dont need functional ICBMs to do so.

North Korea just closed their borders, UH OH. NOW THIS IS GETTING SERIOUS.
Now North Koreans who work in South Korea can't go back to work there, or those who are still on S.K are locked in. Nobody can enter in N.K as of now.

I thought the borders of the DPRK were already closed, huh.

No, trucks from S.K were allowed to go into N.K for trade and business, but I think you needed a permit.
