Why is barely anyone taking this seriously? World World 3 can develop in a matter of minutes.
A nuke is a nuke; even if they can't hit us, they can do a serious amount of damage around us.
Nukes aren't primed until they're on the descent, they have to be electronically primed, all of the guidance systems are electronic and also on the missile, North Korea is surrounded by naval forces capable of EW and there's probably several satellites in orbit with similar capabilities in case the missiles manage to make it to the outer atmosphere.
If Korea launches a nuclear weapon then all of it's electronics will be disrupted before it can get anywhere, there's literally no reason to worry.
Nukes are horrific weapons, yes, but in this day and age they're almost completely obsolete, the only thing keeping them around is the fact that they do have immense damage potential, N.K made a fatal mistake in letting everyone know that they had nukes, were prepared to launch them and gave the rest of the world ample time to get all of it's defenses set up, if they had just launched them without telling us then we would have reason to worry.
if it can't hit us, how do you expect it to do "serious damage around us"?
Nuclear fallout can destroy a nation far removed from ground zero
