Let’s get this clear right off the start: Apple makes some absolutely fantastic products. The issue is not with the quality of their products, but the attitude and manner in which the company operates.

They are giving their customers the middle finger, and for some reason the customers are thanking them for it.

I make the argument that it doesn’t have to be this way. If we want Apple to stop treating their customers with disrespect, we need to stop praising them for doing so. Stop regurgitating their slogans, such as “it just works”. If it “just worked” there wouldn’t be over 300,000 Google results when searching for “Apple repairs”.

Apple makes luxury products. They are built to last for only a short time and cost more than they should. This is okay, but it’s not okay to look down on someone, simply because they have chosen not to buy Apple. I can’t say this enough times: The photo, webpage, video or song you’re working on has no idea what brand-name your computer is.

So... Basically what you are saying it's a successful company.

All companies do this in one form or another

Yeah, this is pretty much big business in a nutshell, lol, not just apple.

We need some Tl:dr ass stuff in here.

tl'dr: Apple is a big jerk to everyone and pretty much only cares about money.

Most of the Apple hate on here is from kids trying to fit in (this is a generalization, I'm not referring to OP). OSX is actually a very stable advanced operating system based on a modified BSD kernel. The system API through Objective-C is really nice and they provided wonderful development tools. They make very high quality external hardware and peripherals as well. Aside from wanting to run a few select applications (for engineering etc, though my field has lots of good Mac tools) or gaming (I'm no gamer so I suppose it works), there really is no problem with compatibility. Good processors and a fair amount of memory can be installed as well. If Macbooks weren't so damn expensive I would definitely own one. I feel (only a speculation) as if a lot of the price comes from the machining process of milling out the main chassis of their computer cases from a single block of metal. You're paying for what is cut out and isn't used in the final product.

If only they could finally fix Quicktime. Valve's biggest mistake ever was making QT a requirement for SFM...

Have you read it all thoroughly?

Never heard of any company intentionally putting viruses in products. Never heard of a company mass shipping faulty products and not giving warranty replacements on them. I have never seen something that took the same software, did jack all to it, and made it incompatible with all previous devices. The only two things I know that force you to use software for the portable devices. Apple with it's iTunes, and Sony with it's Content Manager Assistant for the Vita. Everything else used normal drag and drop with optional software.

I never liked Macs to begin with.  Always stuck with windows.

Can we stop shortening Quicktime as QT now?

iTunes is one of the most obnoxious applications I've ever used ever.
Apple's marketing often said that Macs don't have any pop ups telling you to do stuff from applications, and then iTunes comes in and shows two login windows, among other windows that pop up. Then there's the slow store browser, and then opening up whenever you plug something in.

Stopped liking apple after I heard about the factories in china where the iphone parts are made.
They have Self Delete nets to keep people from killing themselves.

No, it's the fact they have to put it up there in the first pla-
I'm going to cut myself off here, I have a bad feeling this is going to turn into an argument somehow.
Don't ask why or how, I'm exiting stage left.

In my opinion, Self Delete is the most basic right you can have.
