Author Topic: How Single-Player Horror Gamemodes SHOULD Be  (Read 1966 times)

I created a few sounds and stuff, and an environment and wanted to see how it would fit.
Me and Frontrox ran around playing around with it.
here ya go.

The video made the whole thing 99999999x darker, sorry. However, the whole thing I have so far is your walking in a subway thats completely pitch black with some wierd noises in the background, nothing more. However, if you added some random sounds at some points.

Heres the thing: Nothing would actually come out at you, but nobody would know that. Sounds would play and it would mess with your mind, and hallucinations of that renderman face thing that floats around.

that seems really boring

I don't understand. Is the whole place on fire or is that just a fireplace?

If you want players to react to a horror game; things at least have to be visible.

really, try the imscared gamemode

I was working on a scare gamemode where the main point was to forget with your head

No jumpscares? Can't wait.

Ahah
Okay, explanation time in OP

The glowsticks make for a cool gimmick, but it doesn't look that they make it any more fun.

Paranoia... hehe... it messes with your head. However, they'd need something to be scared of. Otherwise, they're going to consider themselves safe after a while.

Looks cool, but needs something to make it scarier. Like some sound effects.
