New in the sense that he discovered it by himself, and the fact that this particular style of terrain isn't really used that often.

Nope. Made totally by hand. I don't know if generators could build it like I did - different sizes of brick to reduce count and no defined height where the bricks change colour.

There's always a skeptic. I like the terrain. It's simple, easy, and if done right, looks good.
