Author Topic: People are mad because the Google doodle is about Cesar Chavez and not Easter  (Read 4163 times)

shut up and stop being a handicap

cesar chavez is unknown to a majority of people unlike easter which everyone in civilized society knows about

Are you seriously suggesting that countries which don't have a Christian background are not "civilized"?.

OH WOW REALLY NO IDEA WOW JUST FLEW OVER MY HEAD

if you asked around in asia and europe most people wouldn't know who he was

I'm sure that the average person in Asiatic countries would not know about Easter. But seeing as Easter is merely a holiday about the coming of spring, a holiday which in fact existed before Christianity, the average farmer in Asia would equate it to the common spring-time celebrations which occur in their society.

obviously the sumerians were not civilized

by civilized i mean anyone that isn't an isolated tribesman living in the jungle so dunno where you came up with that assumption

actually there'll be more christians in china in a few decades than the US so im pretty sure they know about easter there

Is that include people moving there because the jobs or people joining?

no the chinese are just pretty receptive to christian missions there

I hate to take this stance, but it's pretty true.

If Google feels the desire to celebrate Chavez over Easter, that's completely up to them, nothing anyone says or does can or should change what Google decides to make the doodle.

This is just another great example of Christians proving they have to be the master-race and impose their beliefs on everyone else in the world

My assumptions came directly from your broad statements. Also, China =/= all of Asia. Sure Christianity exists in Asian countries, but the majority of the population in Asia probably doesn't practice Christianity, more are likely to be Muslim if I recall correctly.

Completely agree.

Now watch him try to say how Christians are "oppressed"

Ohohoh, let's bring up a persons 3 month old past to derail his argument because we have nothing better to do!

Great strategy man

How to rage in 3 easy steps.

1. search #google on twitter
2. read tweets
3. rage

Kearn, here's your damn doodle:

the easter bunny has nothing to do with the original purpose of easter also 1/10 ms paint 2 minutes effort try harder please it shows potential!!!

I wasn't directing that towards you or any other person here on the forums, rather the opposing side in general.

Calm down bro

i don't know why you even brought it up, nobody is trying to force google to do anything aside from the minority of nuts beating people over the head with the bible and chocolate eggs

most far-right wingers/radical christians try to say how christians are oppressed
what I posted had nothing to do with kearn's "history"

implying that they're a majority and/or that i am one good job

but actually the only time in history christianity hasn't been oppressed were most of the middle ages through the french revolution and that's only because the papacy became a politcal faction and basically destroyed the faith in the process

oh

nevermind then.

disregard that post

Most primary eastern countries don't celebrate Easter, Kearn.  China and Japan most certainly do not -- people there may celebrate it, but it's far from being a national holiday.

Either way, get off of your high horse you uncivil brat.  Your religious holiday exists even if it isn't shown in the google's main logo.  A large organization isn't required to promote a holiday, and ANYONE who complains about it is a religious wackjob who can't get their head out of their ass.  This is you, Kearn.  Grow the forget up.
