Yeah they were nice. But I'd enjoy non-repeating maps a lot better then repeating ones.

Or we could have both with a little checkbox to toggle repeating. I think that was already there though.

We only recently had mod-terrain bricks turn default, so why would we suddenly have terrain back?

MOD-Terrain was not good. It was still made out of bricks and it felt nothing the same.

They're probably not coming back. It would be cool if we could have shadows and shaders while having terrain, but I don't think it's going to happen.

The old terrain didn't fit with the style of Blockland at all.

I'm in school right now so I won't have time to find the pages that contained some stuff about terrains coming back. It was somewhere on the main page for a short while and a thread somewhere. I'll find it.
