Author Topic: Mercury Redstone styled Rocket  (Read 5382 times)

Hey fellow forumers, I recently started a quick build, a Mercury Redstone Rocket. I made it a little big and messed up a few times, so it isn't an exact copy. It is made for one person. I messed up the capsule/top part. I also have not evented it yet, or built the escape rocket tower thing at the top. Please keep in mind  that it is a bit square, too wide, and the point isn't right  :'(

It is WIP :)

i think it looks great.

Looks amazing, the detail is spectacular too.

Will the rocket ever function as a real actual rocket?

Yeah, Ill get stuff going on it. By that, I mean a few explosions and stuff- All novelty effects.
And probably oxygen and lights. Also Kreon is making Mission Control for it, so some events for both would be tied together.

Incase you guys are wondering, in the interior, the the light blue handle on the right is the abort switch, and the handle on the left toggles the thrusters/ turns the  capsule while it is in orbit.

So tight, make the separate stages.

Well, in the Redstone rocket, its only one stage, but like I said, the thing is so big, so I may make it my own creation and add an extra stage, at the checker pattern towards the top, right before the capsule.

Looks like we're coming into the Rocket Era. I saw someone's rocket and instantly wanted to build yet another build. Been playing Kerbal Space Program too much.

lol. They're fun to make. I like the art deco/ 50s-60s "Space Race" style.

I built this before Setro's :P

Also, do you guys want to see my first rocket ever, from roughly 2010? It is really funny actually xD

I'm sensing an all-encompassing negativity on the description.

Nice work though
