that sounds like pepsi
ew pepsi

it's both

coke is good, especially vanilla coke. but diet coke and pepsi both taste way too sugary

I used to be a camper like you, then I took a pencil to the ankle

so is this movie legit scary

cause they said this will be the scariest movie i'd ever see

and i'm betting it's not, but i haven't seen the original
I honestly couldn't say for sure, since I wasn't alive when it was first created, but I would imagine the first 2 were definitely scary when they first screened in Cinemas.

Watching them now you'll find that there are parts where you get a good jump, and the special effects and gore are gruesome and creepy.
I can't speak for the remake, but the originals are definitely brilliant movies.

They're dark, humorous, scary and have a decent amount of action to them.
I would recommend watching them.
You can find them on YouTube in parts. That's where I first watched them, after my Dad recommended them to me.

Has anyone seen the movie yet?

watched the midnight release

this movie totally sucks richard

the acting was horrible, it's full of cliches, the gore was over the top (and quite stupid looking), too much cgi

i bet tetris pees his pants when he watches scooby doo

hey

its scary ok

I'm not going to blindly defend a movie I haven't seen, nor one that I was expecting to be sub-par atleast.

But I do wonder what you meant by cliche?
Because it is a remake of an original horror movie, made back in the 80's, so parts of the story are going to be cliche, since they've been done to death in the time since.

But I don't doubt it was bad by many scales. It'll be worth a laugh to see it when it comes to DVD/BluRay on cheap at supermarkets.
And I am kind of upset that you mentioned them using too much CGI. I had hoped there would be very little, if none at all. It would've been cooler if they stuck to the original style of hand-made special effects and gore and such.

oh and the demon enters the girl through her vagina

there was nothing in this movie that surprised me, it was entirely too predictable

to be fair though, i am much more interested in psychological thrillers than gorefest-jumpscare movies

so i'm a bit biased.

i was reading reviews and apparently they used almost no cgi, i was totally mistaken lol.  it's just that most of the beginning of the movie looked really computer animated for some reason, maybe it was the lighting or something.

I suppose the cliches had to be there to maintain a connection to the original, so i'll give it a pass on that

the one thing that really killed the fear factor for me was the fact that the demon cursed - a lot

like "come here so i can suck your loving richard prettyboy" and "you stupid motherforgeter, i'm going to kill you like i killed your whore"

the people who had seen the original seemed to enjoy it a bit more than me, because they got references that I didn't.  maybe it's better for someone who had seen the original

oh and the demon enters the girl through her vagina
was she raped by a tree?

was she raped by a tree?
it was a cluster of thorn vines that the demon chick puked out
like "come here so i can suck your loving richard prettyboy" and "you stupid motherforgeter, i'm going to kill you like i killed your whore"
Some of the demons/undead used to swear and insult Ash and others in the originals.
So that's kind of a throwback to the originals too.

Hm... yeah... the first person to get possessed in the 1981 version was raped by a tree.

Idk about the puking...
like "come here so i can suck your loving richard prettyboy" and "you stupid motherforgeter, i'm going to kill you like i killed your whore"
They did stuff like that in the original movies.

whoever in this topic is claiming they used to much CGI. you loving liar you never even saw the movie.

i just got back from it. there is absolutely ZERO cgi in this movie. everything is obviously real props and makeup. every last bit of the movie.

its exacly what a good horror movie should do. the remake was pretty close to the original movie to, without trying to actually copy it outright.
