Author Topic: I'm Off To Learn How To Drive  (Read 1298 times)

My grand father is coming over soon to teach me how to drive.
I know the basics and all but is there anything you guys can tell me that will help?
Hes taking me to the parking lot of a giant church near his house.

EDIT: He want's me to drive us to a lake so we can go fishing.

If it's your first time: The wheel isn't as sensitive as you think, nor is the gas. Only use your right foot if it's an automatic, don't use your left foot to break and your right foot to gas.

I can tell.
The wheel is sometimes a bitch to turn.
Also I'm pretty nervous on driving for the first time.

Well, the only real car i've driven before was a mini-van

And I can't drive yet

(A car just takes getting used to, if you want my advice)

Don't Screw Up Or It'll Be On Your Record Forever!

Well I drive golf carts for my grand father and the lawn mower for my dad but those aren't really that close to a car.
I also use to ride motor bikes.

EDIT:Black and White don't capitalize all your words.

You Did It In The Title Tho!1

but seriously its no big deal when I started driving it scared me to death but now it comes naturally

Only thing I can say to you is: keep your cool. If you panic disasters are more likely to happen. While a regular car does not give you the same feeling of safety as a student car - which are equipped with a separate set of pedals for the instructor- your grandfather is there to help you.

Be aware of how big the car you are driving is. The first time I drove I almost took the mirror off the car.

You capitalize titles

yeah, but you use initial caps, meaning you cap everything important

Its not that big.

Please stop talking about titles. The thread is about me learning to drive.
