I once deleted my Google+ account and it decided to take YouTube down with it
i then just broke down and forgeted about then made a gmail account and then made a YouTube account with that gmail one.

Haven't gotten this forced down my throat yet.  But I won't care.  I thought the inbox was the biggest most useless pile of stuff ever.  I still keep getting "contact requests".  I'm surprised people actually use YouTube for anything more than looking at videos.

I just don't want them to force me to use my real name on YouTube.  YouTube is not a fit place for a "real names only" rule.

oh hey
now that I did that I have the inbox back. c:

This, I use the inbox though because its annoying to go on a video that might get comments every 5 seconds, and it would suck if I had to keep clicking (Show more comments).
So I use the inbox to find the comment or thing that I was looking for.

Bump, for everyone who doesn't want it connected to their Google+ profile:
http://www.youtube.com/account
click
"Disconnect Google+ profile, and use your YouTube username"

This brings back the inbox and stuff.
