Author Topic: [ECNO] Brotatoe's Hand-Built TDM *ANYTHING HELPS!*  (Read 7311 times)

It looks like the ground is pretty hard to walk around on, and the map looks like it wasn't planned out at first in any way. I like the buildings though, they remind me of pokemon. I might try out the server later.

If you look under the map, it looks so insane

If you look under the map, it looks so insane

not insane but more so badass

Randomly generated terrain

Randomly generated terrain

Like I've said, it's not generated.

No it wasn't a joke.
I was there helping him build it for a while, so I can attest that it wasn't a terrain generator he used.

when does mute ever lie

Is it too hard to get it through your thick skulls? ITS NOT loving GENERATED

This was originally supposed to be a bot arena, but the mini didn't work well.

I created the whole entire spawn system, building, events, and all.

goddamnit

brotatoe please understand a tdm is more than just a neat idea; it has to present that idea in a well-designed fashion

yes, this is appealing to the eyes but playing-wise it doesn't have anything different than putting down four 64x baseplates in a cube and sticking an aligned-cubescape "volcano" in the center.

I know you're still learning, and I understand why you're hyped (or ecstactic or w/e) about this build; i was the same three-four years ago, with my Strategic Riverside TDM and Convoy Ambush Reverse CTF. I wasn't receptive to criticism and didn't see how my build was bad, but looking back on them I can see a lot of things that could use improvement.

It's a phase, and it takes time to get out of it. Don't worry too much about criticism, but be accepting of it and try at least to consider it and criticize your own builds.

wowe brotatoe you made something nice

both of those builds are amazing, idk why anyone wouldn't like them

I built this build and I expect it to get criticism, yes, but I'm not assuming everyone will love it. I had fun building this and I am open to suggestions.

was tons of fun
but if he used my loops
then people wouldn't have been leaving

Those builds of Conan's are a clear example of a few years experience causing him to gain more skill...

maybe instead of getting butt hurt over me posting that I was spawn killed, you could take it as a suggestion to maybe change the way people spawn?

Or maybe the fact that I posted about how it was boring, you could add objectives?

not tldr;
Don't get butt hurt and change stuff to make it better.
