About 4 months since I was in the Philippines and didn't do any of my work.
Still counts~

If you still are ill, go to your doctor and get excused.

yay we're related

I didn't skip school.
I find it ridiculous that people would skip school. But if you are feeling bad, why did you even use the other ones? If you are truly sick, go to the doctor and hear from him. Otherwise, you're stuck.
Sorry.
EDIT:
Also, if you're sick and your parents won't take you to the doctor. Go to the free School Nurse. She can see whether or not you're sick.
Well, not the Nurse that was in my old high school...

When I was in school, it was 9 days per year or 4.5 days per semester, excused or unexcused. Even if you missed 0 days in the first half of the year, then missed 6 in the second half, even though it was less than the year maximum, you would still be in danger of being held back. Shows how dumb my school system was. It's been a few years though, so it might be different now.

I'm kind of glad that my schools always adopted an Attendance Rate policy rather than set days, because you never can know if you're going to be sick in a year and how long a sickness can last.

The only problem with attendance rates is that if you happen to be sick a lot at the beginning of the school year (which I have been, especially at College, what with meeting lots of new people with new germs) then your attendance drops drastically.

If you miss your second day of college due to illness, then you already have a 50% attendance.

The school I go to now won't allow more than 6. If you miss more than 6 you're put in a program to help you. If you miss anymore days its 6-7 months in Juvi
Same with the other school I went to

(they have to be unexcused)

If you miss anymore is 6-7 months in Juvi
what the hell? that's just over doing it

I live in a strict ass place. Also in juvi they'll make you learn there. You cannot escape the education!

I have 11 days of school days I could miss. The highest is about 13 I've ever missed back in 3rd grade when I went to China.

I know, I forget the consequence if you miss anymore than twelve.
I think it's detention or something.
Also, what I don't understand is how my friend has missed weeks of school and he won't talk to me about how he does it...
At mine, it's detention to make up for the day you were absent unexcused.

Wow, you guys have no clue how lucky you are to only have to go to detention over missed days. Kentucky really needs to redo their to many missed days rule.
Once I have almost went to court (if you go to court over missed days its like a Self Delete hearing since you lose no matter what) but that program saved my ass.

you go to court if you miss like, a month of school.
You go to court when you miss a week in a row for truancy.

Unless doctor exused I think its 4 days here in Frederick, Frederick
