I'll be hosting a simple MERP occasionally, and it'll utilize public bricks, pre-built terrain. I will be on fairly constantly because this is mostly for my sanity / a chance to play around.

Fanstasy: allowed (this works on a DEFCON level system, four levels, find out more by coming to the server.)
era: medieval
Realism: yes yes yes (aka cannons do not shoot 20 miles and people cannot cross the entire server-map in 5 seconds)
Naval: LIMITED. Large ships cannot, realistically, fit. Smaller boats like sail boats and row boats, however, can.

It's a larger project I committed to with a small group of friends that uses a pre-made add-on by JazZ, similar to money mod but with resources, that would require players to "capture" resource blocks.

It's a really complicated system that really just works with a lot of relays and a lot of VCE, and JazZ's add_on basically lets you build, or it doesn't, depending on if you have the resources. Also, the RP battles would be controlled by a giant combat-system I developed that takes into account weather, magic buffs, affinity, etc.

MERP is for Mini Empires Role Play, and I don't know what the G is.

it's a combinatino of MERP and RPG, so I really just added "GAME" to the end :I
It does have RPG elements to it, in a sense, but I'll leave it up to the general community what to name it when it's time comes (which won't be a while)

Sorry about that guys, I've had a few unexpected hospital trips this month so the server got bumped back a bit. Hosting will start up tomorrow, possibly a pre-host tonight.

Host your own server and go for it, I'll be sure to stop by and complain about how the map is too small and the terrain isn't that great. People never remember terrain, let alone your server, especially not something that lasts a week. I don't want the server to last for three years, nor do I plan for it to last an entire month. I just wanna play some mini empires, and lately the server listing has been stuff.

so where's the topic for that.
Cause uh... It really doesn't mean a whole lot to say "Im working on X," especially when it's mini empires... :L

I mean, if I REAAAALLY wanted to, I know a few fancy ways to make some decent ass terrain, and I have a 64x64 dup plate consisting ENTIRELY of props (trees, rocks, resource nodes, ruins, caves, etc) so I could make a REALLY nice map. But I honestly don't feel like that much effort needs to go into this considering it's supposed to just be a small little "yay something fun to do aside from generic TDMs"

Due to the lack of players today, I shut down the pre-host early. Me and Ozmar just chilled out and talked for a bit. Hopefully more people will show up later on in the week.
