Can't log into youtube on my iPod?

I have an iPod 4th gen with ios 4 on it, so theres still the old youtube app. For some reason though i can log in? I tried resetting my password on my computer but it still won't seem to work. Anybody have an idea as to why I can't log in?

edit: i installed the app for youtube awhile back and can log into that, so I don't see why I cant use the default one.

Why not just use that instead of the default one?

You can't use the old one since apple is gay and took that down from ios default apps, so youtube changed some stuff and released it again, but also dropped support for using the old one.

You should update that ipod to ios 6
