Author Topic: Er, I tried to install Google Chrome, but it gave me a virus.  (Read 733 times)

I swear to Badspot's hairy chest, I downloaded from the official website. I'm on my new laptop. When I downloaded it, I got an FBI warning ransomware. I finally got it off, but I'm scared to download google chrome. What do I do?

Sounds like a load of barnacles.

Sounds like a load of bologna.

Sounds like a load of barnacles.
I've been always using Google Chrome on my other computer. It didn't give me that crap.

Sounds like a load of bacon

What do I do?
Stop looking at research. Seriously, my little brother would always get ransomware from research sites.

Get Comodo Dragon. It's literally Google Chrome without all of Google's data mining. You can do everything on Comodo that you can on Chrome.

you may have had some virus that was on your laptop already.  The virus could have been designed to attack google chrome (as it is one of the most popular browsers).  Run an adaware antivirus scan, and if that doesn't work use malwarebytes

Get Firefox instead
I'm on Firefox. Thing is, it's loving hard to navigate after using Chrome all that time.
I also already did all that virus scan stuff with malwarebytes and everything. It's all gone.

Get Google Chrome and Google the problem.
