just the whole idea of using a pc for couch gaming

like i play games in my basement, and i have no computers down there, so i wouldn't be able to do that.  most of my friends wouldn't be able to do it either.
Ooooh, I thought you meant for everyone. Yeah, in your case, that sounds undoable.

EDIT: Plus mods make the PC worth it for me. Not that I've ever paid for my own gaming computer. :v

and additionally, most gamers aren't willing to constantly pay for upgrades, and without the upgrades, there's no real advantage to pc gaming

what about the mods
what about the free multiplayer
what about the better keyboard
what about the better graphics

Get a really good PC, throw your xbox out the window, repace with PC, done!
again i, like most, am not willing to spend 800-1200 dollars for an insane rig that i'll end up upgrading in 2 years anyway

it's just too expensive

I find the precision of the mouse very advantageous. I'm much better with a mouse than a controller.

Mods are also an advantage that consoles do not have.
all true, but for the mods i dont see why consoles can't support a modding community.  unless they're not open with their code or something.

yeah it'd be a hassle, and yes mods are awesome

mods can be supported
ps4
that's opinion
the graphics won't even matter in the generation after ps4/xbox 720, we'll have hit the graphics wall

Edit:
Thinking about it now, i dont see why consoles can't use a keyboard and mouse setup as an option.  tbh, i'd never play controller minecraft/rts's, that would suck

Not for very long, though.

Not for very long, though.
It hasn't even come out yet and it's outdated. Sony must have the EA guys that got fired.

Some games are ONLY released on consoles/handhelds/computers.

Handhelds are nice if you're bored in a public place.
Consoles are nice for multiple players or people watching you play.
Computers are nice for online games with thousands of people or privacy while playing or game creation

do you even read boy?

also, nvidia is just pissy because they didn't get to partner with any consoles, AMD did

Console exclusives are just a stupid idea unless you already have the console it comes for.

Game making companies do it anyway, and those games can still be good anyway.

I'm not quite sure what you mean. Unless I'm assuming you mean something else by "hitting the graphics wall".

"If the PS4 ships in December as Sony indicated, it will only offer about half the performance of a GTX680 GPU (based on GFLOPS and texture), which launched in March 2012, more than a year and a half ago."

Games like Halo are good. It's just that more available games are also good.

i said the generation after the upcoming one

and again, NVIDIA's article is heavily biased.  Consoles dont have to deal with APIs like computers do, so they don't necessarily need the same specs

PC or Console, doesn't really matter to me.

It doesn't really matter that much to me, but I prefer the console because it's cheaper and easier, although it has some drawbacks.

what lol

those use a loving 7850 at most
that isn't hitting the graphics wall, that's barely breaking a five meters from the wall
