I was just shutting off the computer when I turned and looked outside to hear a huge ear cracking boom, I was blinded by the white light of the lightning, it seriously made me freak out and almost have a heart attack... When lightning is that close to you... Just wow.

I've had plenty of experience on both phones and tablets and I almost always notice mistakes, whether it was my own or the device's correction

I've only ever had lightning strike near me once, and luckily I wasn't aware of it as I was fast asleep at the time.
Struck a telegraph pole next to my house and it blew the fuses on the phone line.

You do hear some horror stories though. If it hits a house it can just smash a hole right down it. And then there's the chance of fire too.

I've kinda had this happen before, except I was in my creepy basement, just shutting off my PS2, TV and lights, but just before I shut off the TV, lightening strikes really close to my house, knocks out the power, and sets off all of the smoke alarms.

That was the closest I've ever been to downright stuffting myself.

During hurricane Charlie lightning struck the transformer 1 house down and made my whole street lose power until the hurricane was gone.
