And, let's keep in mind, this is coming from the guy who has over 400+ figures on display, an entire basement arranged with replicas breaching beyond $2000 from major Science Fiction films, and an extreme love of older, more involved science fiction.

lotta family guy lovers butthurt in this topic XD

A thread about some angsty teens getting mad that people enjoy something they don't.

The show displays immense character study and humor based on awkward/uncommon situation.  It's a play on extremes which don't exist, yet there appears to be a group of individuals who go out of their way to prompt pissing competitions because they believe they're more "nerdy" than that of the people who watch it.  People who enjoy the show aren't out to prove that their more nerdy than you are, they're watching it because they find it humorous.  Humor is incredibly diverse AND adaptive.  I have a very dry, politically incorrect sense of humor, which I know a lot of people don't find funny at all, but some people think it's absolutely hilarious.

This also seems to be the case with people who hate Family Guy.  It became relatively popular and imploaded with the rebellious teens, as do most "mainstream" concepts.  I personally don't think King of the Hill is funny what so ever, yet you don't see me attacking people because they see it differently.

It's a television show, the fact that anyone's offended and/or deems others below them for watching it is loving laughable.

A lot of you need to get over yourselves.  You appear to be under the impression that you're more developmentally evolved for viewing something as being too stupid for your taste, and those who watch it to be just as stupid.

Why is this even an issue?  Why are there so many people who get angry that some people enjoy the Big Bang Theory?  If you're a "nerd" and get offended because you believe it displays your "people" inappropriately, you're not very bright.  The show isn't out to display the ridiculous lifestyle of a basement dweller or otherwise, it's to show extremes based on the show's situations.  And, let's keep in mind, this is coming from the guy who has over 400+ figures on display, an entire basement arranged with replicas breaching beyond $2000 from major Science Fiction films, and an extreme love of older, more involved science fiction.
this guy sounds so cool!

Oh no, someone disagrees with my taste in luxuries!

What is with people and not understanding that others enjoy things which may not pertain to their interests?  Can you guys just cool it?

Yeah, and it pertains to exactly what I said.

lol. arent you the kid who cant get his head out of his ass because he assumes hes correct all of the time?
Let's reference to those many drama topics on your absolute appauling behavior.

So we're not aloud to make fun of something now? I don't like Big Bang Theory but it doesn't make me better than people that like it. I just think their sense of humor is stuff. Is that really a terrible thing that I should never be forgiven for?

so you take offence that some person thinks its forget-lame to collect tons of toys to display as collectables? (it is forget-lame)

what does this say about lalam's hobbies?...

I'm referencing the people who act superior along with stating they dislike it.  Rather than saying their sense of humor is stuff, wouldn't it make much more sense to state it's just different?

"Oh, your opinion is stuff!"
Not very productive.

I took offence to it?  I questioned why it was appropriate.

You can't be a democrat and not think that a republican's opinions are stuff.

I'm not a democrat.

However, when someone's opinion jeopardises the state of one's well being, there's reason to contest it.

When someone enjoys a show you don't, which doesn't impact you in any which way, I don't understand why you're attack it.
