Author Topic: my last night  (Read 1685 times)

Right so last night pass and I were playing a little war z. It was about 8pm when I get a phonecall from my bestfriend (female, 18 years old, 3 months pregnant - wasnt me) she said because she fell over a week ago,the baby was hurt and she had a miscarrige.
As soon as she told me I came rushing to her house in central london. It took me about 2 hours because it was a sunday (if you live in london youll know how stuff travel is there.
When I got to hers she was crying so I made her laugh and we went to the pub.
Her parents came home later that night (they had been on holiday for 2 weeks) so I had to stand there whileshe explained to her parents that she had a miscarrige.
I stayed over and we chatted all night and drank wine and watched a film.

It was one of the sadest nights :/

Im sitting here typing this out on my tablet while laying a turd so sorry for spelling mistakes

That sucks big time. Good luck to her going through that.

Dahyum.

Good move on your part on being with her though.
Pretty crucial stuff to make her feel she didn't forget up that badly.

Furdle can be nice guy sometimes.

Man, that does suck a lot. I'm glad you were there for her when she needed help.

Whys a miscarrage a big deal?
Just think of it as a free abortion.
The things not even alive yet.

wow

As sad as a miscarriage is, Dren sort of has a point (but he should have put it in a better way). At three months the foetus is technically not alive yet, and thus technically nothing died. This is one reason many people believe in abortion so long as it's before six months since it's believed the foetus has no mind yet.
Also, at 18 having a baby seems sort of.. I dunno... iffy. From what it sounds like (please correct me if I am wrong) your friend is alone with the baby. If this is so it's slightly unfair on the child to have a single parent with little life experience yet and probably not much income or a good job. I could be wrong though and please, don't take this offensively because really I do feel for you and your friend. It must suck to have the excitement of a baby even if (emphasis on the word if) it is accidentally, and then have it taken away from you. Send her my condolences.

-snip-
It doesn't matter if it doesn't have a mind. It could have had a mind had it been bored and had possibly lived a great life. Don't act completely stupid. The fact is the baby died and as a result there is a major loss of a potential important part of somebody's life. Had they had lived, perhaps they would have become a cop and stop a robbery, saving the lives of many. Or maybe become one of the most innovative inventors to touch the face of the Earth.

Think about the big picture.

Or they could have become a criminal and killed hundreds of people? It works both ways. I said it was sad and it was, there's just other points to be made within the story.

Let's not turn this into an abortion debate, those never get anywhere

Anyways she obviously wanted to have the baby, hence why she didn't get an abortion.
Sorry to hear it OP :/

Eh, some people don't get abortions due to feeling they'd be killing a baby rather than that they didn't want to have it, but who knows I guess.
