hey i was INSPIRED by my friends at SPO to make something like this, so here's my first attempt.
also while looking at topic please listen to this masterpiece to be INSPIRED AS WELL.

and my second build is what I like to call Pablo paradise
It was meant to be just that little island, reminded me of those old lego sets

please give constructive criticism what should pablo do better!!!!?!?!?!?

Needs moar ramps and stuff. (Or just make the terrain out of smaller bricks)

the point was to not use any ramps and keep it more traditional lego style imo

Seems very nice, the style is pretty good.

Good job.

For the top one i have this to say:

It looks like you tried to go for a high detailed, small scale brickscape build. Although, it has to many flat faces and to little detail. Adding more ramps, 1x1s, and other small bricks will help make this better. Also the base of the build is kinda plane and could use more layering and variation. The vines and things are cool, but you could also use the 1x1 round and other rounds to make the stems look better.

For the island: i like this one better, it has more detail around the base and has some interesting things on the build (tree, boat, chest). But the same applies for the middle/upper section of the terrain as i said above. You might be able to expand it and add a path to make it more complete.

Don't let the stuff above get to you, this was a pretty good attempt and you should keep it up ;)

thanks for the help mom

not really all that much, small squares of some light terraining. not bad, but i feel like they lack purpose

I love you BLABLO!
I could see a lot done with that cave.

Is the third picture based off of that island on your server a long time ago?

both builds are nice but have their small shortcomings

for the first, you're clearly going for a high-detail build but you can still clearly tell the borders of the bricks of the base you built, then stacked detail upon. use more 1x1, 1x2 plates and vary up the textures of each level of terrain, such as by adding plates near the border of layers, or on ledges, to make them less flat and simple. the excessive use of 1x1 rounds also kinda stands out but with 1x1/1x2 plates stacked on each other and scattered around, it wouldn't be as stark of a usage.
vines are good though.

Island has similar issues since the size:detail ratio of the build is kinda bigger than i would normally expect from builds that size. but if it was expanded and larger it wouldn't be as much of an issue.
like I said above, stack 1x1 and 1x2 plates to break up the brick "layers". Always remember to scatter them with single plates as well though so its not just using one "kind" of "brick" to vary terrain.
tree is neat but a little short, but i guess that's the limitation of your leaf brick.

No it was just completely random.
