Resize them to 75x75 before uploading them to your profile. If you don't resize it yourself, the forum will compress it very poorly.

See, I don't believe this. Using Blender, I took the same render as a .jpg and as a .png, and the .jpg one was just fuzzier.

Anyways,

Resize it to 75x75.
