Author Topic: BlockZ [Blockland DayZ project] OPEN FOR BETA TESTING  (Read 4739 times)

Hey guys, Azuron  here. I am creating a server, "BlockZ" It is going to be quite a big project, so I need as much builders as possible.
(Yes, I did change my name.)

Info
- Had a lot of schoolwork lately, but I have some freetime. This project is going to be continued on.
-Added airport
-adding new weapons
adding a new town

-UPDATED 5/2/2013-


Features
-Lootable houses
-Small towns, 2 larger towns.
-DayZ like gameplay
-PvP for people who want to be bandits
-You spawn where you last were the last time you played
-Your gear drops when killed
- Lakes, foliage, and buildings
- Day/night cycle is enabled.

as for actual criticism, it looks like a lot of duplicated crap and lacks the foliage height and cover of the actual DayZ. It would also be more preferable if you stuck to using environment water instead of brick water and cube borders, but i get that you want to add depressions in the terrain in the middle somewhere.

cubescape is ok but nothing remarkable. could have a little more detail but that's me, and considering the scale of DayZ its acceptable.

That's some good looking progress. I do have to say though, using two weapons packs is kinda... Eh. HK and those flint locks don't really go well together IMO.

We are trying to find some good weapon packs currently.

Yes, you can walk through them. And yes, those are generic grass plants.

Just use HK and turn on softcore

Scenic builds are better for me rather than overly-detailed lag-fests.
