Author Topic: Attention Tor users  (Read 2151 times)

From now on when you try to post when using the Tor Network (Either from your computer or your phone it doesn't matter), you will automatically be banned. Don't fret though, the duration of the ban is actually quite short as from I've seen. Possibly after you log off or go offline. I discovered this while at school today to get passed the school's IP filtering system. After making this post, I was immediately silently banned for the reason "Tor".

It is safe to assume that this was implemented into the server a while ago to prevent further hijackers from hiding their IP. We still aren't safe however. Since there are a wide variety of web proxies and bouncing software out there to get passed this, so don't get too comfortable.

I thought I would share this with everyone so they don't think they were banned or permabanned for using Tor. No need to dish out another 20.

Only child enthusiasts use Tor

I assume this is because whoever was hijacking the accounts was using tor, so this is actually a good thing. you already said that silly me

This is good.

I've never heard of tor, but I hope it stops most of the hijackers

It won't. Not even a little bit.

I most likely do not understand how this works.
but can't they go to any other proxy site?

pfft I doubt this'll help at all :v

Ehh, I don't know about that, it will at least force them onto a stuffty proxy.

Good job Mr. Hijacker for ruining Tor for the rest of us...responsible users.

Yes. There are many proxies, including the ones in the deep web. We won't be able to block them all.

I was thinking the same thing when I got my short ban.
Looks like I won't be able to post here under Tor anytime soon.
