Lemons:
i mean hey, they're basically anti-oranges. sour, tea-tastifying, usually circle sliced and have poisonous seeds. their yellow "skin" can also be consumed. also who doesn't love lemonade?

seriously, they're nearly as cool as oranges, just kinda different. yeah, you also can mage orangeade.

Tangerines:
WTF is a tangerine?
"The tangerine (Citrus tangerina) is an orange-colored citrus fruit which is closely related to the mandarin orange (Citrus reticulata). Taxonomically, it may be named as a subspecies or variety of Citrus reticulata; further work seems to be required to ascertain its correct scientific name. Tangerines are smaller than common oranges, and are usually easier to peel and to split into segments. The taste is considered less sour, but sweeter and stronger, than that of an orange.
What can be considered by some to be a good tangerine will be firm to slightly soft, heavy for its size, and pebbly-skinned with no deep grooves, as well as orange in color. Peak tangerine season lasts from October to April in the Northern Hemisphere. Tangerines are most commonly peeled and eaten out of hand. The fresh fruit is also used in salads, desserts and main dishes. The peel is dried and used in Sichuan cuisine. Fresh tangerine juice and frozen juice concentrate are commonly available in the United States. The number of seeds in each segment (carpel) varies greatly.

TL/DR I don't like wikipedia articles!
Best thing to happen to this world since sliced bread.

How exactly do I eat it?
You peel it carefully, tear the resulting "pumpkin" into separate carpels, and eat them. They're normally eaten raw, but can be chopped up into a fruit salad, sliced into circles, served with mayo, ketchup, smetana, sriracha, mercury or whatever (if you're into that), or you can squash them into a fine juice. Then optionally freeze it and turn it into ice cream.

Is this also thread for grapefruit?
This thread is purely for tangerines. No clementines, satsumas or lemons. If you want a grapefruit thread, make one.

I want tasty pictures of this fruit.
As you wish:

Is that a cat?
I have no idea what you're talking about HEY GET OUT OF MY BASKET

It's just a fruit dammit! It doesn't warrant a thread! [other ignorant/dismissing remarks]
Stop trying to pull a Tonkka and get out the door. Let us discuss a fruit for a change.

lemon seeds are poisonous?
not OUTRIGHT poisonous, but it's still not a good idea to eat them, they can totally forget up your stomach from what i have heard.

I was always told they were poisonous, but also was told apple seeds are harmless and contain precious iodine (they apparently have cyanide in them), though that's a bit offtopic.

I will burn your house down... WITH THE LEMONS

THEY WANT TO KILL YOU

PURIFY THEM WITH LEMONS

Lemons are good for you but don't suck on them as they can actually damage your teeth
