I'm going to explain why in a list-based format.
1.) Free food.
In front of the church across the street from my school, there was a large line of people. Confused, I went on with my day until later in cooking class that a group-mate of mine said he was doing some catering over there, and that the line was bigger than it was before. People had trouble getting down the sidewalk due to the line size.
2.) Death.
We had an hour delay, and for no good reason, so it seemed at first anyways. When we came to school, we had learned from our teachers right quick that a very nice business teacher had died. Some say she had a stroke, other say she killed herself. A teacher had said she was so nice, if you were selling chocolate, she would buy all of it and give it out to her kids, and another time a girl had complimented the teacher's jacket, so the teacher gave the jacket to her.
3.) Insanity.
So somebody in my Design and Drawing for Production class wasn't cooperating or something, I didn't know I wasn't paying attention. He had refused to leave after being asked, and was then told that the teacher had called somebody to come down and escort him away. The student, now on an rage-induced rampage, charged the teacher's desk, threw his laptop off of it, and booked it out of the door. The screen of the laptop had shattered, and the laptop was the teacher's only way of showing kids what to do without it being 1 on 1 with a single student, and it was the only way he could get into his grades and his private information. About four cops, three fourths of the guidance counselors and the superintendent showed up, taking pictures and looking for the kid. As of this moment, wherever the hell he is is still unknown.
4.) Change.
I found about three dollars just in change throughout the day.
