It's not that, I just don't have any interesting race ideas. I was either thinking a kind of Enderman-like race, or a ghost-like one.

Can I be a new race, Psecrys? They're a kind of non-material being that appears as a ghostly smoke that can change forms, and frequently appear in a hood and cloak. Rather than eating or drinking, Psecrys get their energy by stealing heat from other objects. It's rather inefficient, so they have to seriously chill objects to get a meaningful amount. They can use this energy to move objects (from a distance or up close, but moving objects from a distance requires stupid amounts of energy) or to warp, which happens to cost a LOT. The downsides to them are that everything around them gets colder over time, and they are unable to love.

Sounds like this is the equivalent of the T-1000 except supposed to be spookier and is all smokey and wants to be hot.
