How are you making those robots anyway? The only thing you have a lot of is oil. The only solid material you could mass produce them out of is plastic, and you'd still need lots of metal for the electronics. Based on no metal mines of any kind, and I don't think you're trading for any metals, you don't even have the economy for robots.
