I thoroughly enjoyed the film. Found it to be a really good laugh.
It's more like a horror-style parody of horror films than it is a pure horror film.
If you like that movie, watch Evil Dead.
Definitely do this.
The main plot points of "friends go to spooky isolated cabin", "friends find creepy basement", "friends find and read evil book", "zombie-monster-ghouls arise" are all directly taken from The Evil Dead.
It's the original horror for that story type.
You should so see the original 2 Evil Dead films, and the new remake (which I saw last week and loved). Army of darkness is great too.
There are also plans for an evil dead 4 and an Army of Darkness 2
