I got enough for the hdd and gpu (funds are just not in the right places) but I may have to wait two weeks before getting the cpu as I need another $200 about.

You posted the processor two times

get an overclockable model of a processor, its worth it

Don't overclock it unless you
1. know what the crap you are doing
2. have supreme cooling

FYI, you'll probably want to put more on the GPU. I don't know what you'll want to cut back on though.

I plan on upgrading this as I go. This is just like version one. When I get my cpu the next thing im saving up for is either more ram or the new intel chip coming soon. Wherein I would also upgrade to i7.
After that graphics when i get money again.

Unless you're doing demanding stuff that aren't video games, there really isn't much of a point to getting more than 8 gb of RAM, in my opinion. I think you should just save up for something else.

Why did you buy a 650w PSU (unles you plan on upgrading)? A 500w would've just been fine (you would save $35)

EDIT: forget what I said, getting a 650w was a good ide in the long run.

How convienent! I just bought myself an i5-3570k cpu and no longer have use for my AMD quad core processor : http://pcpartpicker.com/part/amd-cpu-ad560kwohjbox
If you are interested, i'll be more than happy to put it up on ebay for you to buy :D
The processor is less than two months old. I can take pictures of it later when I get home if you are interested.

Scratch that, you have an intel chipset motherboard.

-snip-
if you would have actually read the op, you would've realized the motherboard he ordered is LGA1155, which is an intel socket

you edited it fhghjgdhsgsdf
