Blockteen(26383) - Blatant Build Stealing.

Well, the word "steal." Saving builds is not a crime, it means people like them and would like to use them on their server.  Sure, if they don't give credit, they are a richard.  But even if they copy the same build style, it means they probably like it and want to have the same thing.

I did not "assume" it. I joined and people were flaming him about the build being "stolen". I came back when it seemed calm and he was crazy.
A host should be able to remain calm, even when five or so players are there flaming him about a stolen build. He should just state his point, then ignore them. Not to mention the way he reacted in the pictures of chat.
I probably came on at the wrong time. I will check in later after he seems calm.

I was there when those few people were banned and when everyone started accusing Blockteen. He told them that he didn't steal the build and that they need to stop accusing him. They kept on accusing him, directly going against what he told them to do. So he banned them. I don't see how he is a bad host. He did exactly what I would have done, get rid of the problem. He most likely reacted that way because he put a lot of work into his build (he said he did it all by himself) and people were claiming that all he did was edit someone's build. Again, this is understandable. How would you like it if you worked on a project for weeks and when you hosted it, everyone says you didn't build it?

I would get frustrated if they persisted, but I'd just show them the build they claim that I have "stolen" and move on. If they continued, I'd mute or ban them. I see your point here.

You're calling him a bad host simply because he reacted negatively to the false accusations.

I can see why Ravencroft might at first think his build was stolen and have made this topic, but on further brown townysis, Blockteen's is pretty obviously not a modified version of his. I don't like how you guys are acting like Blockteen is not at all in the wrong, though, he made it very confusing by saying "I built this from scratch" instead of "This was inspired by yours."  Work on conveying your point, Blockteen.

Built from scratch simply means you start with a blank slate.

Also, if you dont want a build to be "stolen" (I dont know why you call it this, as its NOT A CRIME) then dont host a server. The second you host a server your build is free to use.

I honestly think he saved Ravencroft's build, and deleted everything but the main place (where the tiles are) and modified that a little bit.

But this is just my opinion.

People have the ability to take builds and modify them to their comfortability as they please in Blockland.
I used Apartment by Anybody for a DM and nobody took a hissy fit like this.

I know that, but if he DID take the build and modify it, Ravencroft's name should be in the credits, but Blockteen said the credits only talked about himself.
