i simply wont play lots of the new games now.

if its single player, and only takes maybe 6 hours to complete. then it is NOT worth 60 bucks, and i cant even force myself to get excited over it.
(cough bioshock,  resident evil, tomb raider)

I'm proud to say I haven't pirated anything in the last year and a half. Pirating is stealing. Stealing is wrong.

The only single player only games I buy these days are RPGs and simulators/tycoon type games. My little brother will burn 60 bucks on a Call of Duty game just to play the single player part and he won't even touch the multiplayer part. It's sad to see him play the missions over and over every day.

Also anyone who uses games are too expensive these days are turning a blind eye. You had the money to build/buy the pc or console that you use which is anywhere from 600-1200 dollars. Yet a 60 is too much. If you could afford the pc/console and not the games then something is wrong. You can just save your money up and buy them when you have enough or the price drops.

Only time pirating a game should be aloud is if the game company that sells the game quits selling it and you can no longer purchase it.

Never pirate indie games. It's insulting and they need that money just to make ends meat.

Anyway, I usually play free games.

I think it is funny how people who pirate think that they are only harming an "evil" corporation. Lets say you manage to make the company cut pay by 20% (an absurd amount), the "evil" owners are still making millions and don't feel it at all, only the worker are hurt. Lets say that instead of cutting pay the company stops hiring as many people, once again the workers are the only who get hurt. Pirating isn't going to hurt the people who make the decisions you don't like, they are pretty much untouchable.

this is bannable
I would lock and edit out if I were you

No it's not. The rule seems a bit questionable. I think it applies to people who talk about pirating like "HEY CAN SOMEONE POST A LINK TO A PIRATED COPY OF BATTLEFIELD 69?" or "HEY I PIRATED THIS BATTLEFIELD 69 GAME AND HERES A LINK!"

people have been banned for talking about a certain jailbroken app that starts with an "h" this is definitely bannable
plus its offensive to game developers

Emulating old GBA games is fine because it's abandonware.

Oh yeah and AC4 is going to be awesome I love pirate games.

Yeah, that is different than just asking the public opinion about the subject.

plus its offensive to game developers
Offensive? Like actually offensive. I doubt it.

It's wrong. Buy a legitimate copy. You don't like it? Get a refund/sell it. I don't see how people don't see how dev's lose money when people get a pirated version.

Not to condone piracy in any way, but they don't lose money. They simply don't gain any. Same deal with reselling games.
Having said all that, I don't pirate games, and I do think it's wrong.
