Author Topic: Why do average joe people think the iPhone is the only type of damn smartphone?  (Read 3368 times)

I hate apple devices and I only use android. I have my facts.
-Apple devices are terribly overpriced
-Apple devices have worse performing hardware than most new Androids but cost more.
Compare an A6 1.3ghz  @ 2 cores and a popular Android processor like the Snapdragon s4 Pro 1.7 GHz @ 4 cores with Adreno 320 GPUs.

I have many more reasons, but I am seriously fed up with people buying Apple devices. In my opinion, they aren't smart buyers.

I think you can guess that I typed this post from my Android tablet. Nobody in my family will or will ever want to buy from Apple, and don't get me started on how bad Mac is.
That is all I wish to say from my opinion. I don't want garbage that costs $400+ when I can get something much more high performing and modifiable and customizable at $200 and less.
Also, Apple devices will never be 100% secure or virus free just because less people buy them. They just try to trick you.

Because customization won't ever give your devices issues even if you mess up on them.
And for the security thing, many people want a Macintosh because it is harder to get viruses on a Mac than a Windows (not saying it's impossible, there are some viruses floating around out there) and it's user-friendly. Not everyone who uses a computer uses it for gaming. Even then, the Mac App Store gets tons of games from the PC getting support all the time. Sooner or later, most good Windows games might become available.

iphones are pretty virus-free. if you can even download things, there's no way to run the things that you download. and there are only a couple of third-party apps that can even begin to change anything about the phone itself

Pretty much everyone I know has an iPhone, they're definitely the best for reliability, usability and customer support from Apple. Plus if you're not poor, they're easily affordable. Why get some trash Android phone that will break in a year when you can just do it properly and get an iPhone?

i haven't heard of any viruses for a non-jailbroken iPhone

Because nobody knows a thing about smart phones. All they care about is "ITS SHINY."

too many people say this. implying that aesthetics are a bad reason to buy something

They use it as an excuse to make their stuffty phone appear supreme to other ones.

it does make it look superior. that's the whole point. like, if there am ugly, powerful car, and a pretty, less powerful car, I'm definitely going to pick the pretty one

imo, if you race a stuffty looking car vs a very good looking car, and the stuffty car wins that would make it look so badass for the stuffty car. dont be a woman please.

100% true. In my opinion, If you want to argue, please post actual facts about the hardware of the device you support, and not that they are "thin", "shiny", "cool", "popular" or "have a large screen" and we'll see.

on a slightly different note, FUUTTUURREEE

I looked up "news report on smartphones" on YouTube. I click the first option, which was this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N2vARzvWxwY

None of the news reporters even have an Android.

people seem to forget that essentially every image taken nowadays has metadata linked to it consisting of basically all the circumstances of its creation. they also seem to forget that saying it's "threatening to you and your children", is like arguing that if someone can look up your address on yellow pages, then you're going to get kidnapped.

lol I wasn't talking about the video itself, just how its a randomly chosen news report, with no smartphones in the thumbnail, but you dont see an android or even them supporting android users.
