John Carpenter's Classic

Trailer
Summary.
Nada, a down-on-his-luck construction worker, discovers a pair of special sunglasses. Wearing them, he is able to see the world as it really is: people being bombarded by media and government with messages like "Stay Asleep", "No Imagination", "Submit to Authority". Even scarier is that he is able to see that some usually normal-looking people are in fact ugly aliens in charge of the massive campaign to keep humans subdued. thank you imdb

What the hell is this topic doing here?
In my opinion, this is the most BRILLIANT and CREATIVE alien invasion ever! I just found an old DVD of this in my "Old Stuff" bin, and I experienced the wonderful world that is nostalgia. I'm making this topic to see if anyone here has heard of this masterpiece. Carpenter has made amazing movies before, like "The Thing," but this is my favorite Carpenter movie. This underrated flick deserves a view. What's better than aliens taking over the mass media to numb our senses?

Images of the bland world.

And yes, this has the epic "I have come here to chew bubblegum, and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum" line.

They actually do o.o

I watched this a couple months ago, it was great. The drawn-out fight between Nada and Frank was hilarious.

I will watch but to be honest right now, those skeleton faces scare me.

when you see them in motion, they look more goofy than anything.

the collaborator was the best character
