TBH I often want to be able to add usernames to the player list to add things such as major NPCs in a gamemode; but seeing as Badspot clearly doesn't want people doing that, I wouldn't deliberately go out of my way just to get it to work.

Plus there's no way that people could ever be trusted to use it responsibly. Case in point: this thread.

I agree here. I'm all for being able to add names above bots and stuff like that, and even though someone could make a badspot "bot" that walks around and says things in the chat, you can still hit F2 and check if he's actually there speaking. Here theres no line between real and fake, and players could easily be abused and framed.

I thought that too but it seemed like no one knew what happened until Badspot said it himself.

He was in a restricted part of the master server or something and caused a problem with it. Badspot said MARBLE costed him hours of work by doing that.

It doesn't post to the master server when you do client sided things.
Also, it wasn't entirely me who costed him the work, there is a group of people who knew how to do what I did before I did it.
