Author Topic: NES Zapper does not work on CRT TV.  (Read 4279 times)

Hey guys, just today I bought an NES Zapper to work with Duck Hunt, Wild Gunman and Hogan's Alley. I have a Retron 3 and a large Phillips CRT TV.

Only problem... It's doesn't work at all!

Duck Hunt only can move the menu, Wild Gunman doesn't respond and Hogan's Alley only works sporadically.

Any suggestions? More details you need? Or should I buy a new gun all together?

Thanks.

its probably the gun lol

The zapper is broken, because whatever happens to the tv would not affect it.

Well wait a second, I have a CRT HDTV. Could THAT affect it?

Kinda off topic, but there's a Zapper like attachment for the controller, why isn't there a remake of Duck Hunt?

And no lousy crosshair, it'd be like the original and NOT have a crosshair!

Dude, I have said CRT like 3 times.

shoot it in front of a lightbulb, if it doesn't work, its broken, if it does, its the tv

No no no, that trick isn't real. It doesn't work. If it does work, then it's a poorly coded game.

When he said HD, he was talking about LCD and plasma.
I still think it works the same way.

They're the big bulgy televisions that take up more space than a flatscreen LCD TV, CRT TVs look like this

Back in my days, CRT televisions and monitors were all we had!

weird
well a CRT is a CRT, yours is just big, so that shouldn't affect it
