Out of curiosity, what would you consider to be a common swear word, curse or insult from where you live?
Whether that's in your neighbourhood, town, county, region, state or even country.
Reading through the Forums, it's obvious that swear words and insults are quite common in everyone's way of speech, whether using it to insult others, or simply for expression of themselves.
I can't help but notice however, that there are a few swears/insults that I never ever seem to see posted on these forums.
I can only assume that it's because most people on these Forums are American.
But even ones I've heard quite commonly from where I live are never repeated here by people from my country.
So, the point of this topic is to gather up as many swear words, insults and curses that you know of, but only seem to hear/see in certain places, or even ones you only see on these forums.
If you want to, then post any you're aware of, perhaps tell us of where you hear it (you don't have to give your location if you don't want to). If it's a bit complex, or obscure, then give us a bit of explanation too.
And if you know of one that someone from somewhere else mentions, then you can share it too.
Don't worry, we won't tell your mum that you're swearing.
Wanker
I personally only ever seem to hear this one from British people, and I never ever seem to see it online (or atleast not on the forums).
I'll see Americans go tell each other to "Go wank off", but never call them a Wanker. Weird.
Cunt
I'm sure everyone is aware of this one too. I generally refrain from using it in public much, since it's normally considered quite harsh. Yet I suppose my standards slip on the internet and I use it more commonly.
I don't seem to see it too much on these forums however, though.
Twat
Probably just a British one again, actually. Never see it anywhere else.
If you're unaware, it's another term for Vagina. Use it like you'd say "Cunt". It's doesn't really work like "pusillanimous individual" however, since you can't use it to describe someone as scared/weak.
Window-licker
Another good one, but I've only ever personally heard it in South West England.
It's another term for "handicap".
In the essence of "Oh no, that handicap is licking the windows again".
So go on then, what are a few of your local swears/insults?
Perhaps we can make these Forums a brighter place, with a more colourful vocabulary, and much more arguing.
