Author Topic: hey look i made a colourset  (Read 2260 times)

Very nice. A color scale has the colors people want and a sufficient green scale, Me Gusta :D

needs more realistic browns like the browns in the motE colorset.
greyish brown is what i mean.
Some of the greens look quite similar. A lot of the browns are really saturated, especially with red, making them look like they would only work for clay. Large columns of some color groups have prohibited you from adding a greater variety of other useful colors.
Mostly designed for terrain/fantasy builds.
Not supposed to be realistic, greyish colours are dull and boring. Saturated and pearly colours make it look better. (or at least in my opinion, and it's my colourset.)

I swear, there isn't one colorset that is released that you guys don't complain about.

Your topic title is very misleading.

3rd column is kind of weird but otherwise it's cool

in what way is it misleading

How stuff this is an amazing colorset.

found room for trans brown/green, found no room for trans white

you probably want to be open to suggestions instead of defending yourself why there isnt a color included, and saying how you dont want the color for yourself while some other players may really want the color in the set.
if you release an addon, keep in mind of making it better for the community, not for yourself.

the only problem with that is that I designed it for myself, not for Charles

I do like the colorset though.  Add a little more variety in the greens.  I can see greens that look almost exactly like the ones in the standard row, get rid of those and make a new variety.  Also add more variety in browns

Other than that, pretty good set :)

Also: since you have such a large section of greens and browns, I'd suggest not putting those colors in the other rows and instead using the other rows for other useful colors (since you do seem to lack some other useful colors)
