if you can afford the best avialable card, then you dont need more then 1 unless you are trying to record games or something, where recording cuts frames down by half.

How many dual gpu cards do they make? There normally was one per line. They're also normally not that great because most games aren't really optimized for it. Single GPUs are so much better.
