RIP In Peace <3

So I plan to buy a cheap-ish computer to start out with and then upgrade parts as I can.

Soooo I guess suggest decent-but-cheap computers :)

A BSOD doesn't mean your computer is dead, there is still ways to fix it.

bsod...

um...

uh i get wh-

oh wait no...

...um give me a hint as to why you need a new computer.

so have you tried booting your computer back up

It was acting up and being apestuff terrible in the first place. I don't feel like it's worth it to fix it, it was a terrible computer to begin with.

It's literally like 15 years old.

Wow.

This is the best thread.

Get it to BSOD again then Google the string of numbers and letters.

maybe he meant

'broken system of death'

or 'black screen of dead'

Let me reiterate: The harddrive is probably fried,  and it was slow as molasses before this even happened. It's not worth it to fix this piece of garbage.

A hard-drive is cheaper than a new computer.

What are your specs?

I receive BSODs at least once a week

I receive BSODs at least once a week
i receive a BSOD or fan shutdown at least half a year.

that is true, but I still just want to get more up-to-date everything else. I'm pricing out trying to just build one versus buying prebuilt.

Can't tell you off the top of my head, I'd have to go look and it's doing a disk check currently. Nothing good.
