Author Topic: i dont get homeschooling  (Read 11089 times)

As a kid from public school, It's loving terrible. I'm homeschooling next year and I'll be damned if I go back.

  • Developing communication skills
Yeah, no. I've talked to many public schoolers and they're all socially awkward. It's a growth thing.
  • A chance to form relationships
That's implying you cannot make friends. People in the neighborhood can be good friends, and possibly friends of family.
  • Public school is free
So is this school I take.
  • A chance to find a career path
There are possibilities you can find around the house.
  • You can get introduced to colleges that might fit your tastes
This is impossible for homeschoolers?
  • Gets you ready for a employment, After all you need to work to put food on the table and a work day is usually 8 hours.
I work for well over 6 hours studying, so why would this be a problem again?

Why are you homeschooled?
HOW IS IT NOT A BENEFIT. That's like saying dinosaurs didn't exist because there is no proof.
Don't feed the troll, boys.

As far as I know homeschooling is illegal where I live.
That sucks.

i was kicked out of my school for being absent too much ;-;

Advantages of going to school(for those who live in the real world and not in their bedroom)
  • Developing communication skills
I do that all the time, I still have friends silly
  • A chance to form relationships
See above
  • Public school is free
And for the most part, so is homeschooling
  • A chance to find a career path
I don't see how homeschooling harms your career
  • You can get introduced to colleges that might fit your tastes
The same can be done whilst homeschooled
  • Gets you ready for a employment, After all you need to work to put food on the table and a work day is usually 8 hours. So does homeschooling, I'm taking camps and classes for what I want to do with my life. Being homeschooled doesn't hurt me here.

I think that you have know clue what you're talking about. Most of your points assume that all homeschoolers are social outcasts who live in their bedroom.

I have a friend who was homeschooled, he turned out just fine. Not awkward or anything.

lol at the people arguing about which type if school is better It's about the same if you ask me, just different learning styles. Also, having a 2-4 hour school day and getting up when ever you want is more of a pleasure, not a benefit.

being allowed to get up whenever you want?
that'll make you lazy
and, iirc, many (many! not all! I know there are different types of programs for it) homeschooled kids depend on their parents for teaching, and for most other things too

Oh boy! Children being dependent on their parents! Spot the presses, this is crazy!

Also, sarcasm aside, most homeschoolers (the ones I know anyway) have a set start and end time.
