Author Topic: Is the government that bad?  (Read 14168 times)

So I've really developed a negative outlook on the US government over the past couple months because of CISPA, the gun laws, and the six strike program and stuff like that, mostly what I learn by watching The Tek. Also something about corporations running America. But I'm only 15 so I don't really understand quite a few things. So yeah that's my question.

Definitely.
Though not necessarily for reasons you may think, it is bad but a lot of the bad comments are just stupid speculation and people wanting to blame someone for stuff.

it could be worse.
LOTS worse

Yeah, but there are countries much worse off than us right now. Sure, we could be better, but it won't happen.

Irrelevant.

The government is run by baboons.

Nothing makes society better than people who don't know how good they've got it!

The government is run by baboons.
No, it's run by distant cousins of baboons.

Really depends on your political views.

Yeah, but there are countries much worse off than us right now. Sure, we could be better, but it won't happen.
after being in another country; another culture for a few months the main thing i have learned is to never take things for granted in america ever again. For those of you who view america as a "terrible government" or simply "unfair" please, PLEASE come to south america. Where the entire political party of Brazil is republican/ communist. Where walking in the suburbs is more dangerous than walking in "the ghetto" part of a city in u.s. not one day went by where i wouldnt hear gun shots go off on my way to work every morning.
