and it's pretty much not possible to steal something from front pockets unless you have some nerve problems

I always freak out about someone pinching something from my back pockets.
That and I find it uncomfortable to sit on if it has things in it, like a wallet.

But experience pick pockets can very easily steal from a front pocket.
Tell you what, you go to Rome, and you'd wish all your pockets had zips and padlocks on them. Dodgy people on those streets.
