that is not a bad excuse to do something. doesn't even have to be your boyfriend. unless what they're saying is terribly stupid, I'm gonna defend a friend, and it's perfectly fine to do that. there's nothing wrong with it. similarly, there's nothing wrong with making people admins on your server because they're your friend. or otherwise treating someone more nicely because of it
