School in a nutshell, teaching you things you'll forget when you're 40, but never taught any life skills!
Also, I hate abstinence only love education. They don't even explain what you do when it does come time to make babies, and all they focused on was how love before being married was bad, even though you'd have the same effects while married.

because understanding how things in life work is important

it also helps for chemistry which helps with a lot of different fields or research

Besides, that kind of math is useful in many fields, such as statistics and programming (don't forget engineering, which is a high paying field). I guess Bill Gates was an insane man, but by God that insanity paid off.

Get a math tutor and stop complaining about middle school. You are literally at the easiest point in your life with the least responsibility you'll ever have.

but I did get to read Lord of the Fly's, The Great Gatsby, The House on Mango Street, Rhyme of the Ancient Mariner, Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet and right essay's on all these books with a prompt that I don't even remember.
