I would have tried to nurse it back to health.

lol you should've unleashed it in the wild to see how many it could kill

I would have tried to nurse it back to health.
yea obviously its easy to nurse a deer who's bones are all crushed to powder and its lungs are collapsed
yeah ok

oh god
for a second I thought you said you had to kill the dog

im not a veterinarian, it was in pretty bad shape, killing it was pretty much the way to go.

I don't have the guts to kill an innocent animal, Even if it was suffering it would be pretty difficult.

Should of used your foot on its throat

I wish I had the balls to put my cat out of his misery after my dad stepped on him.

I never said it was easy, just that I would have tried in that situation.

There's always another way. If it died while you were trying to save it, at least you'll know you did what you could.

What kind of dog do you have?

Let's be practical and logical here. He's not a vet, and trying to save a brutally injured baby animal is really just dumb.

Sounds like a big dog if it brought down a fawn. The only that pisses me off is that op forget to thank the earth spirits and take the fawn to feed his family.

Well, sorry, but honestly, I'd have felt guilty if I hadn't tried to save it.
